Pil Sung Taekwondo - Promotion Test Information
Likely the one area where the students have the most questions is regarding belt testing. How many classes are required (minimum) for each test, what break is required for the next test etc. This section of the website is dedicated to providing information to those questions as well as links to documentation required for testing purposes.
For each test, students will be required to demonstrate blocking/striking/kicking techniques, sparring footwork and techniques, self defense, patterns, sparring (yellow belt and higher) as well as board breaking and an oral examination. The number and complexity of techniques required for each belt testing will increase as a student advances through the ranks, below is a table illustrating the basics needed by a white belt before they may test for yellow belt
